 LEMKIN AWARD of the Institute for the Study of  Genocide for the best book on genocide of books published in 2005-2006. The  ceremony includes a talk by the author, q. & a, and a reception on November 9, 2007.  The award  will be granted  to Donald Bloxham for The Great Game of Genocide: Imperialism, Nationalism, and the Destruction of the Ottoman Armenians published by Oxford University Press in 2005. Bloxham is Professor of Modern History at Edinburgh University and will be (starting September 2007) a scholar-in-residence at the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum. He is also author of Genocide on Trial (Oxford University Press, 2001) and co-author with Tony Kushner of  The Holocaust: Critical Historical Approaches (Manchester University Press, 2005).See website  www.isg-iags.org after June 25 for time and place of award ceremony.
